How It Happened
A dominant outing, the Cobras started hot with doubles and never looked back. All three doubles pairs won with no drama to put the Cobras up 3-0. Then, the dominance transferred over to singles. Wins came in straight sets at every position (1-6) as the Cobras walked out with a 9-0 victory to start off the USC Sumter Invitational
Notables
- The match-up was played under JUCO scoring rules and, as it was against a JUCO, was marked as an exhibition match. JUCO rules include that every match is its own point, including doubles, which under Division II rules is only one singular point.
- Only fourteen total games between nine matches were given up by the Cobras, while the Cobras scored sixty themselves; a true testament to the dominant performance on the court
- Grove made her dual-match season debut today, playing at the sixth singles spot. She had a great opening to her campaign with a dominant 6-0, 6-1 victory!
