Cobra Corner
In the last contest, the Cobras faced off against another team that was in their season opener. Tomorrow, they will play a North Greenville team that already has four matches underneath their belt. The Trailblazers are currently 2-2 to start the season, playing purely teams from the South Atlantic Conference thus far. This will be their fifth contest against such teams, defeating Mars Hill (7-0) and Emory & Henry (6-1) while falling to Anderson (0-7) and Limestone (1-6). A win on the road would not only move the Cobras to 2-0 to start the season but give the Cobras a bit of insight as to how the SAC is shaping up this season.
Last Time Out
Tamara Macias was the hero in this past Saturday's nail-biter against Lander as it all came down to court four to decide who won the match. Suffering a setback early by dropping the doubles point, three Cobras (Jade Bellegy, Ilona Hernandez-Sanchez, and Caroline Myers) won their singles matches to set up a three-set classic on court four. After losing the first 1-6, Macias battled back and won 6-2, 6-1 in the second and third sets, respectively, to win this opener for the Cobras.
Follow along with us as the Cobras look to continue a great start to the season!
