
Women's Tennis Dominates Mars Hill 7-0
Mars Hill, NC - Women's Tennis dominated this afternoon, taking a 7-0 sweep over Mars Hill in South Atlantic Conference action.
The day started off with a sweep on the doubles courts, leaving no question as to which team came to play today. Jade Bellegy and Emerson Banning teamed up on court one for a 6-2 win, Angeline Krieg and Tamara Macias came together on court two for a 6-0 bagel win, and Salomé Sierra and Caroline Myers dominated on court three for a 6-1 win.
Singles was much of the same story, with all six women taking wins in straight sets:
- Bellegy won 6-0, 6-4 on court one
- Sierra won 6-2, 7-6 on court two
- Krieg won 6-3, 6-2 on court three
- Banning won 6-0, 6-2 on court four
- Macias won 8-0 on court five
- Myers won 6-2, 6-0 on court six
The Cobras will travel to Newberry on Wednesday as the end of conference play nears. First serve in that one is scheduled for 2:00 PM.
