Women's Tennis Grabs 6-1 Victory Over UVA-Wise

Hartsville, SC - Women's tennis grabbed a huge 6-1 victory over the Cavaliers of UVA-Wise this afternoon, dropping only two total matches on the day.

The first and second doubles pairs of Jade Bellegy - Emerson Banning and Tamara Macias - Angeline Krieg, respectively, both took 6-1 wins to clinch the doubles point for the Cobras.

Up 1-0 headed into singles play, Coker had no problems hammering the nail in the coffin, winning on five of the six singles courts. Bellegy took a 6-2, 6-2 win on court one, Salomé Sierra won 6-4, 6-1 on court two, Banning took the 6-0, 7-6 win on court four, Macias won 6-1, 6-0 on court five, and Caroline Myers defeated her opponent 6-3, 6-2 on court six.

The Cobras will have a few days off before the Indians of Catawba come to town on Thursday, April 4th. First serve for that one will be at 1:00 PM at Byerly Park.
