Women's Tennis Falls In Close Match-up To Carson-Newman

Hartsville, SC - Women's Tennis lost in a tight home match-up to the Eagles of Carson-Newman this afternoon by a final score of 4-3.

The doubles point, normally going in favor of the Cobras, was relenquished today to Carson-Newman as the Eagles took two of the three doubles courts from the Cobras. In singles, the Cobras split with the Eagles, taking three of the six available courts. Jade Bellegy won on court one 6-2, 6-3, Sierra won on court two 7-6, 6-4, and Emerson Banning continued her stellar season with a 6-3, 6-1 victory on court four.

The Cobras will have a quick turnaround, heading on the road to face off against Lenoir-Rhyne this Tuesday, March 26th. First serve for that match is scheduled for 2:00 PM.
