Women's Tennis Falls To Anderson

Hartsville, SC - After starting off on a high note, women's tennis couldn't capitalize on the momentum and ultimately fell 5-2 to the Trojans of Anderson

The day started off with a doubles point victory for the Cobras. Jade Bellegy and Emerson Banning took a commanding win on court one as they bageled (6-0) their Trojan opponents. Tamara Macias and Angelina Krieg also took care of business on court two, downing their opponent 6-2 to claim the doubles point.

Unfortunately, Coker couldn't get it done on the singles courts despite holding a 1-0 lead heading into play. The lone victory for them came with Banning winning 6-3, 7-6 (9-7) on court three. Bellegy battled in a three-setter on court one, but ultimately couldn't pull it out.

The Cobras are back in action on Saturday, again at home. This time, their opponent will be conference-foe Tusculum. That match will be held at Byerly Park in Hartsville with a first serve slated for 1:00 PM ET.
