Women's Tennis Battles Back In Road Win Against LMU

Harrogate, TN - Women's Tennis earned an exhilirating 4-3 win this afternoon over the Railsplitters of Lincoln Memorial, with highlights from both the doubles and singles courts!

Doubles competition was close, with all three matches coming down to the wire for a decision. The Cobras were triumphant on courts one and three, with Jade Bellegy and Emerson Banning taking the 6-4 win at first doubles and the pairing of Salomé Sierra and Caroline Myers took another 6-4 win at third doubles. With wins on two of the three courts, Coker claimed the doubles point and was up 1-0 heading into singles play.

The Cobras needed three singles victories to seal the deal, and they did exactly that with wins on courts one, two, and four. Bellegy dominated her opponent, winning 6-4, 6-1 at first singles. Sierra and Banning pulled out nailbiter victories, winning 3-6, 6-2, 6-3 on court two and 4-6, 6-4, 6-2 on court four, respectively. After dropping their opening sets, both girls rallied from behind to seal the hard-fought victory for Coker.

The Cobras travel back to play Anderson at home on Wednesday, March 13th as SAC play continues. First serve in that one is set for 2:00 PM ET.
