Women's Tennis Dominant at USC Sumter Invitational

SUMTER, S.C. - The Coker women's tennis team picked up a victory over USC Sumter on Friday (Feb. 11) by a 9-0 score.

The Cobras swept the doubles matches with the No. 1 team of Tamara Macias and Olivia Drake winning by a 8-3 margin and the No. 2 team of Jessica Binzari and Michelle Schaub 8-2 victors. USC Sumter forfeited the No. 3 doubles slot.

Binzari won her No. 1 singles match 6-2, 6-1 and Macias took No. 2 singles by a 6-0,6-1 scoreline. Drake took the victory at No. 3 singles 6-0, 6-1 and Schaub posted a 6-1, 6-4 win at No. 4 singles. Khushi Agarwal posted an impressive 6-0, 6-0 win at No. 5 singles and Katherine Matthews won by forfeit at No. 6 singles. 

The Cobras will be back on the courts Saturday (Feb. 12) when they take on Converse in the USC Sumter Invitational. Coverage can be found at www.cokercobras.com
