Women's Tennis Drops Conference Match at Lenoir-Rhyne on Wednesday

HICKORY, N.C. - The Coker University women’s tennis team dropped its South Atlantic Conference match at Lenoir-Rhyne on Wednesday (Mar. 11) by a score of 6-1.

HICKORY, N.C. - The Coker University women's tennis team dropped its South Atlantic Conference match at Lenoir-Rhyne on Wednesday (Mar. 11) by a score of 6-1.

Lenoir-Rhyne won two out of three doubles matches to secure the doubles point, before taking five out of six singles matches.

Tamie Chew and Gracie Waldron defeated Evelin Menyhart and Lucy Whelan at No. 2 doubles by a score of 6-2, before Gabriela Del Val beat Whelan 7-6, 7-5 at No. 3 singles for Coker's lone point.

The Cobras (5-4, 0-2 SAC) are back at home on Friday (Mar. 13) to take on Ashland in a non-conference contest. First serve is set for 1:00 p.m. at the Coker Tennis Courts.
