Cobras Fall to Catawba in South Atlantic Conference Opener

SALISBURY, N.C. -- The Coker College women's tennis team fell to Catawba in their South Atlantic Conference opener on Tuesday (Mar. 12).

Lea Weber and Kelli Hurt combined for a victory in #3 doubles, beating Catawba's Olivia Wooldridge and Lauren Laughton 6-4. Charlotte Clarke played the in the match of the day, falling 6-2, 2-6, 10-12 in #1 singles. Clarke is now 7-3 overall in singles play on the season.

The Cobras will be back in action on Saturday (Mar. 16) when they visit Tusculum for more South Atlantic Conference action. Matches are scheduled to start at 10:00 a.m.
