Cobra Women Drop SAC Contest at Newberry

The Cobras won one match in doubles play and three in singles play.

NEWBERRY, S.C.- The Coker women's tennis team dropped its South Atlantic Conference road contest to Newberry 5-4 on Wednesday (Feb. 17).

Ragan Palmer and Suzanna Mickey teamed up for an 8-4 win at No. 3 doubles, while Mickey also picked up a win at No. 5 singles (7-5, 6-2). Bailey Palmer picked up a straight sets (6-2, 6-2) win at No. 2 singles, while Jessi Campos collected a 7-6, 6-7 6-2 win at No. 4 singles.

The Cobras will hit the courts again next Thursday (Feb. 25) when they travel to Francis Marion. The action begins at 2:00 p.m.
