Coker Women Pick up Win Over Benedict

The Cobras swept all but one match in the victory.

SUMTER, S.C.- Coker women's tennis picked up an 8-1 victory versus Benedict College on Friday (Feb. 12).

The teams of Bailey Palmer and Jennifer Mezei (8-4), Sarah Elliott and Jessi Campos (8-4) and Ragan Palmer and Suzanna Mickey (8-0) swept doubles play, while five of the individuals picked up singles wins as well. Bailey Palmer (6-3, 1-6, 10-6), Ragan Palmer (6-2, 6-2), Campos (6-4, 6-4), Mickey (6-1, 6-0) and Elliott (6-0, 6-0) each picked up singles wins.

The Cobras hit the court again next Wednesday (Feb. 17) when they travel to Newberry. The action is slated for a 1:00 p.m. start.
