HARTSVILLE, S.C. – The Coker women's tennis team lent a few helping hands to the Hartsville Soup Kitchen on Tuesday (Jan. 27) morning. The team spent the morning preparing and serving food to the local community members in need of a hot meal.
"The team wanted to get involved in the community and help," said sophomore Sarah Elliott. "So we got in touch with the soup kitchen and volunteered. We enjoyed giving back to the town of Hartsville and putting a smile on everyone's face."
The team will open its season with a road trip to Lander University on Sunday (Feb. 1). The match is scheduled for a 1 p.m. start.
