Coker Falls In Regular Season Finale
Wingate uses two second half goals to down Coker in final regular season contest.
Hartsville, SC. - Rhyan Parkin saved a season high 15 shots, but Wingate downed Coker 2-0 in Wednesday's regular season finale. The Cobras put pressure on the Bulldogs througout the night, but it was Wingate who prevailed in the second half.

HOW IT HAPPENED:
Rhyan Parkin was exceptional in the goal for the Cobras all night long, turning Wingate away numerous times. The first of these chances came in the 11th minutes, when Katie Durham put a header on the goal, but it was Parkin turning the Bulldogs away to keep the game at 0.
In the 25th minute, Coker had arguably its best chance of the night. Maia Clark broke away after a flurry of passes, but was turned away by Haley Faucette.
From there, Parkin saved two more shots from the bulldogs to take a 0-0 score into the half.
At the break the Cobras registered two shots on frame, while Rhyan saved seven of Wingate's chances.
In the second both teams exchanced opportunites at the net, but were held scoreless until the 72nd minute. After Parkin saved a Wingate shot, the ball bounced around before Angela Maino put it into the back of the net to give the Bulldogs the 1-0 advantage.
Mila Rausch came close to tying the match six minutes later when she ripped a ball from outside the box just high, as it deflected off the crossbar, keeping the score at 1-0.
Two minutes later Ellie Polk played a perfect ball into the goal from Manu Baptista Filipe to double the Bulldogs lead.
Wingate held on over the final ten minutes to take the regular season finale 2-0 over the Cobras.

Coker plays in round one of the SAC tournament Saturday at Lincoln Memorial. The Cobras will be the 5th seed throughout the tournament.
