Emory, Va. - Coker used three second half goals to pick up second conference win of the season. The Cobras (5-3-1, 2-3) were lead by freshman Kira Boelke and Maia Clark to power past Emory and Henry (4-3-1, 2-2) in Sunday's conference match.
HOW IT HAPPENED:
The two teams exchanged chances in the first half, with Coker putting two shots on goal in the first half.
As the second half progressed, the two teams continued to have opportunities, but neither could capatlize.
The 70th minute proved to be the breaking point for the Cobras. Kira Boelke ripped a shot into the back of the net to give Coker the lead. That was all they woud need.
Maia Clark added her team-high, seventh goal in the 79th minute to give Coker insurance in the second half.
Boelke added a second goal in the match in the 89th minute to finalize the match for Coker in dominant fashion.
Rhyan Parkin was dominant in the goal for Coker Sunday, saving all five shots that were on goal, picking up a win for the Cobras.
