Jefferson City, TN - The Cobras matched up against one of the South Atlantic Conference's top teams in the form of Carson-Newman, ultimately unable to come away with the victory on the road.
The Eagles went up 2-0 in the second half, but an Isabella Rychel goal off a Lilly Borgman assist brought this one within one before the break for halftime. However, Carson-Newman responded in the second half, netting a goal and holding the Cobras scoreless to hand them their first loss of the season.
The Cobras will return to Hartsville and play a weekday non-conference home game against the Pacers from USC Aiken. Kick-off for that contest is scheduled for 7:00 PM ET.
