Cobras Shut Out Mars Hill on Saturday

Two goals in each half would seal the deal for the Cobras on the road.

MARS HILL, N.C- First half goals from Batavia Mata and Heather Blaschke, combined with second half goals from Anna Vig and Jenna Pacyna powered Coker women's soccer past Mars Hill 4-0 on Saturday (Oct. 3).

Batavia Mata struck for her second goal of the year in the ninth minute. Coker would later double its lead when Jordan Roy would feed Heather Blaschke for her first of the year in the 30^th minute. The Cobras would strike twice in the second half from Anna Vig (63^rd minute) and Jenna Pacyna (89^th minute). Shelby Middleton made five saves in her second shutout of the year.

The Cobras return to action on Wednesday (Oct. 7) when they host Wingate. Kick-off is slated for 4:30 p.m.
