HARTSVILLE, S.C. - The Coker women's soccer team dropped its home contest to Newberry 4-2 on Wednesday (Sept. 23).

Newberry took a 2-0 lead to the half, but Coker would counter with back-to-back tallies early in the second. Renee Ledesma netted her second of the year unassisted to get Coker on the board in the 54^th minute. The Cobras would strike again in the 63^rd minute when a Jordan Roy cross evaded feet all the way through to Anna Vig who would stash it home for her first of the year.

Newberry goals in the 81^st and 87^th minutes would ultimately decide the contest. Shelby Middleton made nine saves in the contest.

The Cobras will wrap up their three-game homestand on Saturday (Sept. 26) when they welcome Catawba. Kickoff is set for 4:30 p.m.
