Cobras Host Newberry on Wednesday

The Coker women's soccer team will play host to Newberry on Wednesday (Sept. 23) in the second game of its three-game home stand. Video and live stats for the match will be available at www.cokercobras.com.

The Cobras are led by Shelby Middleton in goal, who in 424:17 (7th in the SAC) has made 28 saves, sixth-best in the SAC. Offensively, Jordan Roy, Batavia Mata, Jessi Campos and Renee Ledesma each have tallied one goal on the season.

The Wolves come in at 0-4-2 on the year including an 0-2 mark in conference play. Offensively they are led by Michelle Calmeyn, who has tallied eight points in five games. In goal they lean on Alexis Carrillo, who has made 29 saves in five games and owns a 1.53 Goals Against Average.

Kick-off is slated for 4:30 p.m. at the Coker College soccer fields. Tickets for the match are $5 for adults, $3 for students and free to all Coker faculty, staff and students.
