Cobras Drop Opener at Limestone

Coker falls 3-0 to Limestone in its 2015 season opener.

The Coker's women's soccer team dropped its season opener on Thursday (Sept. 3) at Limestone College 3-0.

Trisha Thompson and Jenna Pacyna each recorded a shot on goal for the Cobras. Despite facing a total of 20 shots, nine on goal, the tandem of Ashton Knopf and Shelby Middleton combined for six saves on the night.

The Cobras were able to hold the Saints scoreless in the second half, but couldn't overcome the three-goal halftime deficit.

Coker will return to action on Wednesday (Sept. 9) for a non-conference match at  Greensboro College. Kick-off is scheduled for 4 p.m.
