Coker Drops Nonconference Match to Belmont Abbey

BELMONT, N.C. – The Coker women's soccer team lost a nonconference match to Belmont Abbey on Wednesday (Oct. 30) night.

Coker found themselves down 2-0 in the first half, after two quick goals by the Crusaders.  Belmont Abbey would go on to score four more goals in the second half to finalize the score at 6-0.    

Danielle Goerler led the offense with two shots on goal for the Cobras, while Lizz Morris and Sydney McElwain combined for six saves on the night.

Coker will look to bounce back at home this Saturday (Nov. 2) as they host Brevard College in SAC action.  The game is scheduled for a 4:30 p.m. start time.
