Royals Sneak Passed Cobras, 1-0

CHARLOTTE, N.C. – The Coker women's soccer team lost a close 1-0 game to Queens University of Charlotte on Saturday (Sept. 28) night, at the Queens Sports Complex.

It was a quiet first half as both teams battled to take the lead.  Eventually the first 45 minutes would end with both teams tied at zero to head into the break.

Queens was able to jump out to a 1-0 lead just ten minutes into the second half, which would prove to be the game winner for the Royals.

Lizz Morris tallied 12 more saves on the year, while Bailey Van Order led the offense with two shots on the night.

Coker will end a four game road stand next week, as they return home on Tuesday (Oct. 1) to face Converse in a non-conference match up.  The game is slated for a 6:00 PM start time.
