Pacers Top Cobras 2-1

Pacers Top Cobras 2-1

AIKEN, S.C. – It was another tight game for the Cobras on Tuesday (Sept. 10) night as they faced USC Aiken in a non-conference match up, but the end result would land in favor of the Pacers as Coker fell 2-1.

Scoring was the name of the game in the first half, as USC Aiken struck first just 15 minutes into the game to take the early 1-0 lead.

The lead was short lived however; after Millie Rogers responded in the 17th minute with a goal of her own to tie the game at 1-1.

The Pacers then responded in the 30th minute with another goal to put them back up by one.  The goal would prove to be the dagger for the Cobras, as neither team could put together a scoring play in the second half.

Coker will return home for their next game on Saturday (Sept. 14) to host Lincoln Memorial in their first conference game of the year.  Kick-off is scheduled for 4:30 PM.
