
Coker’s Rountree, Fortt Make All-Conference
A pair of women's soccer players were named all-conference today.
HARTSVILLE, S.C. – A pair of Coker College women's soccer players cracked the Conference Carolinas all-conference teams, which were announced today.
Senior defender Sarah Rountree (Plantation, Fla.) and freshman midfielder Jalynn Fortt (Auora, Colo.) were named third team all-conference.
Rountree earned a spot on the third team for the second straight season. The senior defender was a key player for the Cobras over the last four years, starting since she was a freshman. This year she played in 16 games and helped man the defensive line. She also tallied one goal.
Fortt, a speedy offensive threat, played in 17 games, starting 15 of them. She had three goals and three assists on the year.

Conference Carolinas announces the all-conference teams during the Conference Carolinas Men's & Women's Soccer Championship Tournaments. Awards include all-conference first, second and third teams, player of the year, defensive player of the year, coach of the year, freshman of the year, and regular season champions. Head coaches from conference member institutions nominate and then vote on the award winners.
Conference Carolinas is a NCAA Division II athletic conference made up of 12 teams from North Carolina, South Carolina and Tennessee. These institutions consist of: Barton College, Belmont Abbey College, Coker College, Converse College, Erskine College, King College, Lees-McRae College, Limestone College, Mount Olive College, North Greenville University, Pfeiffer University and Queens University of Charlotte.
