Coker Women's Soccer Adds Fort Mill's Blaschke for 2012

HARTSVILLE, S.C. – Coker College head women's soccer coach Dan Muns is pleased to announce that Heather Blaschke has signed a National Letter of Intent to play soccer for the Cobras during the 2012 season.

A midfielder from Tega Cay, S.C., Blaschke joins the Cobras from Fort Mill High School. A four-time women's soccer letter winner at Fort Mill, she helped lead the Yellow Jackets to the 2011 South Carolina State 3A Championship, where they were the finished second. Blaschke was also named the Irmo Tournament MVP in 2009.

In addition to her on the field excellence, Blaschke is a member of the Interact Club, the Beta Club, the Spanish Club and is an Honor Roll student.

"Heather is a solid ball winner, sure tackler, and consistent distributor," said Muns. "She has a great soccer IQ and is going to be a big help to our club in the fall."

Blaschke makes the 12th new addition to the Cobra women's squad for the 2012 season.
