HARTSVILLE, S.C. – The Coker women’s soccer team took a hard loss to Flagler College on Wednesday afternoon, falling to the Saints 8-0 in a non-conference match. Flagler netted five goals in the first half, while adding three more in the second.

Loren Cate and Haley Powers scored two goals apiece with Lindsay Zullo, Jessica Jagielski, Caleigh Hodgkins and Tara Walker each adding a goal. Brittany D’Addio had two assists, while Taylor Adkins, Rafaela Faria, Amanda Slevin, Hannah Harvell and Powers each had an assist.

The Saints Cristina Coca earned the shutout in the net.

Coker goalkeeper Carrie Hudnell (Goose Creek, S.C.) recorded six saves in the match and Emily Morrow (Columbia, S.C.) and Shakenia Johnson (Columbia, S.C.) each had a shot.

Coker will return to action Saturday, at Mount Olive College. Kick-off is scheduled for 4:00 p.m.
