CENTRAL, S.C. – Morgan Hartline (Columbia, S.C.) scored Coker’s lone goal in their season opening match versus Southern Wesleyan University on Saturday, but unfortunately it was not enough, as the Lady Cobras fell to the Warriors 5-1.

In her very first match in the net, Coker goalkeeper Kerrie Cribb (Sumter, S.C.) stopped 15 of 20 attempts.

Hartline’s goal came in 55th minute and brought Coker within two goals of Southern Wesleyan, but the Warriors netted two more goals in the final 35 minutes of play putting the game out of reach for the Lady Cobras.

Coker returns to the pitch on Sunday, when they take on Anderson University at 1:00 p.m. at Anderson.
