Wilson, N.C. – The Coker women’s soccer team lost to Barton College on Saturday night in Conference Carolinas women’s soccer action 5-2. The loss drops the Lady Cobras to 0-14 on the year and 0-9 in conference play, while the Lady Bulldogs improve to 3-10-2 overall and 3-5-2 in the conference.

Hilary Peterson led Barton with a pair of goals, while Morgan Bush and Dillon Sauls each added a goal and an assist. Anna Tressler netted a single goal and Brittany Bobbit had two assists.

For Coker, Bridget Clark (Columbia, S.C.) had a goal and an assist, while Sarah Kinsey (Windermere, Fla.) had goal and Sarah Rountree (Plantation, Fla.) had an assist.

The Lady Cobras now take a week long break before returning to the field on Saturday, Oct. 24, for their final home match of the season. Coker will take on Anderson University at 2:00 p.m. at the Coker College Soccer Field.
