GAFFNEY, S.C.— The Limestone College women’s soccer team picked up a 4-1 win over Coker College on Tuesday afternoon at Saints Field. The Lady Saints improve to 5-7 overall and 4-2 in Conference Carolinas action. The Cobras stand at 0-11 overall and 0-6 in the league.

Coker scored the game’s first goal in the 12th minute as Bridget Clark (Irmo, S.C.) recorded the point. Limestone responded in the 28th minute with a goal from Bekki Hagarman (Tallahassee, Fla.) to even the score at 1-1.

Limestone continued to dominate on the attack in the second half as it scored three more goals. Ashley Alderin-Fleagle (Kernersville, N.C.) recorded her first goal of the season at the 50:46 mark, and Hagarman followed up with another goal 14 minutes later. The Lady Saints’ final goal was scored by Devanshea Moses (Morganton, N.C.) with only seven minutes left in the game. Ashley Alderin-Fleagle picked up the assist on the final goal.

Cobra goalkeeper Carrie Hudnell (Goose Creek, S.C.) had four saves while Limestone’s Brittany Clark (York, S.C.) posted six.

The Lady Saints outshot the visitors 18-10 and had 6 corner kicks to Coker’s 4.

Limestone travels to Wilson, N.C., on October 10 to face Barton College at 1 p.m. Coker hosts Belmont Abbey on Saturday at 2 p.m. in Hartsville, S.C.
