Hartsville, S.C. – Three goals in the final six minutes of play, gave the St. Andrews women’s soccer team a secure 4-0 victory over Coker College in Conference Carolinas soccer on Saturday afternoon. The loss drops the Lady Cobras to 3-14 overall, and 2-8 in the conference, while the Knights improve to 6-6-3 on the year and 2-5-2 in the conference.

Nina Capuano got the Knights on the board in the 22nd minute, with Marie Savage putting away the second goal of the match in the 84th minute. Jenna Hughes and Courtney Ross netted the final two goals for the St. Andrews in the 86th and 87th minutes respectively.

Coker had chances to score, but was unable to capitalize, firing seven shots and casing Knights goalkeeper Garrison Burton to make five saves, while Lady Cobra keeper Chelsea Beetch (Palmer, AK) had seven saves.

Prior to the match, Coker honored their three senior players; Laura Bedenbaugh (Hartsville, SC), Ashley Garven (Lilburn, GA) and Kathryn Friedmann (Hendersonville, TN).

Coker returns to the field on November 1, when they host Barton College at 2:00 p.m.
