Orangeburg, S.C. – The Lady Cobras Soccer Team dropped their four game of the season on Tuesday night, as they fell 2-0 to Division I South Carolina State. The loss drops Coker to 2-4 on the season, while SC State picks up their first win of the season, improving to 1-2-1.

Although the Lady Cobras were unable to crack the scoring column of the box score, they were able to hang with the Lady Bulldogs. Coker was only out shot 19-11, while Coker held the advantage in corner kicks 3-1.

Coker goalkeeper, Chelsea Beetch (Palmer, AK) had 11 saves in the match, with Bridget Clark (Irmo, SC) and Kathryn Friedmann (Hendersonville, TN) had three and four shots on goal respectively.

Coker returns to the field on Saturday, as they host Converse College in a Conference Carolinas match starting at 2:00 p.m.
