Hartsville, SC- Coker College Head Women’s Soccer Coach, Tim Wolz, announced the signing of five players for the upcoming women’s soccer season. Coach Wolz’s newest additions are joining the Cobras from all over the country, with three players from South Carolina, one from Pennsylvania, and one from Florida.

Stephanie Jackson is a native of Sumter, SC, where she attended Sumter High School and was a two-time soccer letterman. Jackson was named the BC Tournament MVP in 2006. According to Coach Wolz, “Will be a very good holding midfielder or center back.  She has great size and toughness.  She will help strengthen the back line and will learn a lot from Senior Shelly Heinzelman.”

Norah Wofford is from Georgetown, SC, where she was a letter winner in softball, golf and soccer at Georgetown High School. When asked about Wofford Coach Wolz said, “She is a good midfielder that will need some time to adjust to the college game but has the right attitude and work ethic to make it.”

Ashley Cobb is a native of Williston, SC, where she was played soccer at Williston-Elkon High School. Coach Wolz said, “Cobb is also a player with tons of potential.  She is on an all male high school team and starts every match.  This should prepare her for our level and will give us the needed depth in the back line. “

Stephanie Leigeb is a native of Long Pond, Pennsylvania, where she attended Pocono Mount West High School. Leigeb was a four-time letterman in soccer and a member of the National Honor Society. Coach Wolz had this to say about her, “I can’t wait to coach this young lady.  She has a strong foundation and a wonderful attitude.  Her excitement about playing at this level grows on you.”

Tabatha Garrett joins the Cobras from Palatka, Florida, where she was a three-time letter winner in soccer and softball at Palatka High School. Garrett was named All-County in softball in 2005 and All-County in soccer in 2007. Coach Wolz said, “She is a very strong defender that will add some “attitude” to our back line.”
