Hartsville, S.C. – Coker College Head Women’s Soccer Coach, Bethany Grass, announced the signing of two student-athletes to National Letters of Intent to play soccer for the Lady Cobras in the fall of 2008. Chelsea Beetch and Jamie McCoy join the Coker Women’s Soccer ranks as the first signees for Coach Grass.

Beetch, a native of Palmer, Alaska, is a standout goalkeeper from Palmer High School. Chelsea becomes the second Beetch to attend Coker, joining her brother Ben Beetch, who is a member of the Cobra Men’s Soccer Team.

McCoy comes to Coker from Sumter, S.C., where she was a two-time letter winner for the Crestwood High School women’s soccer team. Jamie was named All-Region and Best Offensive Player in 2007, while also achieving the Best Academic GPA for both soccer and basketball in 2007.

According to Coach Grass, “I am very excited to have both of these young ladies joining the team next season. I look forward to what they can bring to the team, both on and off the field.
