Hartsville, SC- The final home match of the season for the Cobra women was not what they had hoped, falling to the Queens University Royals 5-0 Tuesday night. Coker dropped to 3-12 overall, and 1-9 in the CVAC, while Queens improved to 11-4 overall, and 9-1 in the CVAC.

The Royals struck early and often, as Erin Saleeby got things going with a goal just 16 minutes into the game with an assist from Kari Byzewsky. Then, not 10 minutes later the Royals struck again, this time it was Mary-Ashley Dautne scoring a goal. Byzewsky netted a goal of her own at the 33 minute mark, giving Queens a 3-0 halftime lead.

The second half started out much like the first, as Katherine Johnson found the back of the net just five minutes into the half. Then, six minutes later Byzewsky got her second goal of the night and her fifth point, this time assisted by Johnson and Shannon Sweeney.

Kristin Kornacki recorded the shutout, while Coker keeper Krista Coleman recorded eight saves in the match.

The Cobras will travel to Anderson on Saturday for their final match of the season.
