Hartsville, SC- The Anderson College Trojans proved to be more than the Coker Soccer teams could handle, as both the women and the men lost by two goals Saturday afternoon in collegiate soccer. The women lost 2-0 and dropped to 6-7 overall, and 3-4 in the CVAC, while the men fell 4-2 and are now 2-8 overall, and 0-6 in the CVAC.

In the women’s game Coker started slow and could not recover as the Trojan’s took the victory. Anderson’s Larrisa Fedorowich scored the first goal of the game at the 13 minute mark, when she blasted a shot past Coker keeper Jamie Swift/Marietta, GA. Coker held the Trojans throughout the rest of the half and looked to be ready to play as the second half started, unfortunately Anderson struck again early in the second half when Crystal Gaffney lifted a shot over Swift and off the crossbar into the net.

Coker’s Swift had three saves in the game, while Anderson’s keeper Amanda English had five saves.

The Coker Soccer teams have a week off until their next game, when they travel to Barton College in Wilson, NC, on Saturday, October 15.
