CHARLOTTE, NC— The Queens University of Charlotte women's soccer team entered into the game today looking for goals; looking for an intensity inside the 18 yard box.  They left the game with solid answers and 6 goals to prove it.  For Coach Brabson, mission accomplished!

The first goal of the contest came just 7 minutes into the game off the foot of Jackie Groff (Charlotte, NC).  Carmen Pasiselli took control of the ball at about the 50, took several dribbles and sent the ball to Groff, who controlled the ball in the box and beat keeper, Jamie Swift/Marietta, GA from Coker.

Coker's Kathryn Friedmann/Hendersonville, TN was able to answer by taking advantage of a turnover just outside the scoring area.  This tied the contest 1-1.

Queens would need no more motivation than that and tallied 3 goals before the end of the half making the score 4-1 at the break.  Kari Byzewski scored back to back goals at the 30 and 33 minute marks to help lead the Royals attack.  The Royals 4th goal, came off the free kick of Carmen Pariselli (2 assists) to the head of Mary Ashley Davino (Roswell, GA).

The second half went back and forth until the 78 minute, when Kelsey Ball (Princeton, WV) took a pass from Lyndsie Duemmel (Kendall, NY) and finished the ball past the Cobra keeper.  Maria Housiadas (Charlotte, NC) then sealed the deal scoring in the 89 minute of play.

Queens outshot Coker 24-9 during the game.
