Hartsville, SC- The Coker soccer teams played two hard fought games, but could only come up with one win against Lees-McRae College in collegiate soccer Saturday afternoon.

Women’s game saw Hartsville native Laura Bedenbaugh get her first goal as a Coker Cobra. Bedenbaugh scored off a perfect cross field pass from Emily Fifield/Atlanta, GA, 15 minutes into the game. That goal would prove to be all the offense the Cobras would need as they would hold off the Lees-McRae for the rest of the game, and help freshman Jamie Swift/Marietta, GA, earn the shutout. With the 1-0 victory the Coker women are 4-1 overall and 1-0 in the CVAC.

The Coker soccer teams take to the field again on Tuesday, September 13, against the UNC Pembroke Braves at home starting with the women’s game at 5 p.m. and followed by the men at 7 p.m.
