Montreat, NC- A pair of shutouts led the way as both of Coker College’s soccer teams defeated Montreat College in soccer Saturday afternoon.

 

The women started things off with a 3-0 win over the Cavaliers, improving them to 2-1 on the year. Junior Cara Durrance/Atlanta, GA, struck first for the Cobras with her first goal of the season. Coker’s next goal came of the foot of fellow junior Megan Shaver/Athens, TN, with an assist from freshman Kathryn Friedmann/Hendersonville, TN. The third and final goal came from Friedmann giving her three on the year. The shutout was led by freshman Jamie Swift/Marietta, GA, and finished by her classmate Krystal Samayoa/Orlando, FL.

 

Coker’s women’s team takes to the field again on Wednesday, September 7 at 7 p.m. against Columbia College at home.
