Bristol, T.N. - The Coker Men's Wrestling Team slid away with a victory in their road match against King on Friday (Nov. 18th) to claim their first team win of the 2022-23 season.
Corey Gallivan started off the duel on a positive note for the Cobras, ringing in a 14-13 win over Preston Soriano of King. Even though the Cobras dropped the next match, they beat out King for the next three matches, putting the opponents in a four point deficit. King's Wrestling team was able to bring the match within reaching distance with a forfeit of the 197 weight class and a shut-down match from Jacob Telles. King continued to push to the end, but it was little too late as Coker had already sealed the deal with a 20-19 victory.
