CLEVELAND, Ga. - The Coker University wrestling team kept its winning streak rolling with a 39-12 victory at Truett-McConnell on Wednesday (Nov. 20).

John Watts got the match started with a 17-2 technical fall over Brandon Navixay at 125 pounds, before Truett-McConnell would take a 6-5 lead after a win by fall at 133 pounds. Alex Braden would put the Cobras back on top for good with a win by fall at 141 pounds over Will Davidson, before Matthew Kieta defeated Gio Silvestre by major decision 14-6 at 149 pounds. Ethan Welsh would earn a win by forfeit at 157 pounds, before Coker would forfeit the 165-pound weight class for six points. No. 12 Jhavon Innocent earned a 5-4 win by decision over Ian James at 174 pounds, before Corey Perkins-Willett would pin Dalton Hardeman in 2:28 at 184 pounds. David Alvarez earned an 8-1 win by decision at 197 pounds over Khalil Belk, before No. 7/8 Ramon Correa closed things out with a win by fall in 3:04 over Cameron Hamby.

Coker (3-0) is back on the mat on Sunday (Nov. 24) at the King Open in Bristol, Tenn.
