2016-17: Recorded a 3-4 record with one fall at 133 and 141 pounds this season for the Cobras.
High School: Smith attended Mapleton High School where he ran track, cross country and wrestled for the Mounties. On the mat, he was a three-time state qualifier and a two-time district champion and state placer. Off the mat, he was a member of the Distinguish Scholar Roll.
Personal: Son of John Smith Sr. and Marlene Rhoades... he has two siblings Jerrica Smith and Savana Fury... Jerrica plays lacrosse at Grace College.
