2016-17: Compiled a 3-3 record ... Was named to the NWCA All-Academic Second Team with a 4.0 GPA.

2015-16: Barfield went 5-3 in 2015-16, picking up wins by fall and decision. He was a member of the All-Academic Second Team and one of three wrestlers with a 4.0 GPA.

2014-15: Barfield earned two wins this season for the Cobras. He was also named to the second team Division II All-Academic Wrestling Team. He was the only member of the All-Academic team with a 4.0 GPA.

2013-14: Barfield scored nine wins during his freshman campaign for the Cobras.

High School: Walker was a two-time state qualifier in high school, where he finished in third place both years.  He was a region state champion, a lower state champion, and a lower state runner-up in 2012. 

Personal: Son of Ben and Julie Barfield...he has three siblings: Wesley, Meghan and Meredith.

The Coker College wrestling team had four members named to the Eastern Collegiate Athletic Conference (ECAC) All-Academic team for the 2016-17 season, the league announced today. Walker Barfield, Jordan Garlow, Jacob Haydock, and Temaris Dixon represented the Navy and Gold on the 42 wrestler team.

The Coker College wrestling team had two members named to the Division II Wrestling Coaches Association All-Academic team for the 2016-17 season, the association announced today. Walker Barfield earned second team honors, while Jordon Garlow was named to the Honorable Mention team.
