1,450 days after Women's Lacrosse's last conference win. The Cobras take down Mars Hill on Senior night to break the streak.
Hartsville, SC: The Cobras got their first conference win this afternoon. Coker hosted the Mars Hill Lions on the Coker Athletic Turf today where they won with a final score of 14-8.

HOW IT HAPPENED:
1ST PERIOD:
- The first period started off a bit slow for the Cobras as they found themselves 1-0 down after 4 minutes of play.
- However, Mia MacMillan put the Cobras even after an unassisted goal only 52 seconds later.
- To go along with her goal Mia MacMillan assisted 2 goals to Kate Halcro to give the Cobras a 3-1 after 10 minutes of play.
- In the dying stages of the period Mars Hill and Coker switched blow for blow as Jessica Pintado took on the Lion's defense to put the Cobras up 4-2
- The first period finished with a final score of 4-3 in favor of the Cobras.
2ND PERIOD:
- The Cobras had a massive 2nd period as they outscored the Lions 6-1.
- Mia MacMillan got the Cobras started right as she scored her second unassisted goal of the day.
- Kate Halcro followed her captain's lead as she scored 2 goals in the 3rd and 4th minute of the period with assists coming from Kaiya Sabur and Kaitlyn Mulligan.
- 2 minutes after Halcro's latest goal Mia MacMillan finished her hattrick off as she scored her 3rd unassisted goal of the afternoon as she ran from behind the cage to send her shot straight over the goalie's head.
- Senior Kaiya Sabur got her first goal of the day 40 seconds later as she juked past two defenders and rolled her shot through the goalie's legs.
- To finish off the scoring in the 2nd period Leah Corely put her name on the scoresheet to give the Cobras a 10-4 lead going into halftime.
3RD PERIOD:
- After the high-scoring 2nd period the Cobras took their foot off the gas a little bit.
- Once again Kate Halcro put her name on the scoresheet quickly as she scored her 5th and 6th goals at the start of the third period. Not only did she score two goals back to back but both goals were assisted by none other than Mia MacMillan.
- Finishing off the period Jessica Pintado scored her second unassisted goal of the contest running straight through the Lion's defense to put the Cobras up 13-5.
- By the end of the 3rd period, the Cobras led 13-5
4TH PERIOD:
- In the 4th period, the visiting Lions attempted to make a bit of a comeback.
- The first goal of the period came from Mars Hill with 6 minutes left. Then 2 minutes later the Lions clawed one more goal to come within 6 of the Cobras.
- However, after being fouled in the circle Kaiya Sabur stared the keeper in the eyes as she prepared to shoot her free position shot. Sabur scored it with ease as she blasted the ball into the far post giving the Cobras a 7-goal lead.
- The Final score for this game was 14-8 in Favor of the Cobras.
NOTABLES:
- After today's 6-goal outing Kate Halcro now leads the SAC in goals scored with 44.
- Mia MacMillan still leads the conference in assist. Her current tally for the year is 30.
- Harper Davidson currently sits 3rd in total goals allowed on the season in the conference.
