Coker Drops Late Season Game to Wingate

Wingate, NC - The Coker University Women's Lacrosse Team dropped their late season match-up to Wingate on Saturday (April 15) by a score of 22-2. 

Starting off the scoring, Wingate posted six goals within the first five minutes of the game. Hailey Morgan (assisted by Ashley Cockrell) was the first to answer back with a goal of her own. The Bulldogs finished off the first quarter with an extra five goals to take the score up to 11-2. Amariah Lawson claimed the second goal for the Cobras withing the last eight seconds of the first quarter. Much like the first quarter, Wiingate put up another four goals to start and end the second quarter. Coker was unable to register any goals in the remaining three quarters as Wingate racked up another seven. 

Zoe Cotheran played all sixty minutes between the pipes and collected a total of seven saves.

The Cobras will be returning to the field on Tuesday (April 18) against Southern Wesleyan. The first face off is set for 6:00 PM in Hartsville, SC. Live streaming and stats will be available at www.cokercobras.com
