Wise, VA - The Coker University Women's Lacrosse Team traveled to UVA-Wise on Saturday (April 8).

Wise started off scoring early, Issie Brown landing her first goal of the game at the 12:46 minute mark. It wasn't long after that the Cavaliers posted their next two goals, scored by Logen Davis and Grace Golatt. This took the score up to 3-0 over the Cobras. Hailey Morgan, a freshman out of Corsicana, Texas, registered the first goal of the Cobras. Not even a minute later, Hailey Morgan had picked up another goal (assisted by Madeline Fontana) and took the Cavaliers' lead down to just two. Finishing out the first quarter, UVA-Wise collected six more goals compared to Coker's one.

Between the remaining three quarter, UVA-Wise posted an additional 13 goals. Ashley Cockrell (assisted by Abby Gross) and Hailey Morgan were the final Cobras to score and closed the game at a score of 22-5. Throughout the game, Coker picked up four ground balls and won eight draw controls.

Zoe Cotheran played the entire 60 minutes between the pipes and registered a total of five saves throughout the game.

The Cobras will be returning to the field Wednesday (April 12) against Newberry. The first face off is set for 7:00 PM in Hartsville, SC. Live stats and streaming will be available at www.cokercobras.com
