FAYETTEVILLE, N.C.- Coker women's lacrosse picked up a non-conference win over Methodist on Saturday (April 2) 17-10.
Coker (5-5, 1-4 SAC) took a 3-0 lead within the first two minutes on goals from Haley McCusker, Mackenzie Baker and Faith Kent, before the teams traded goals up to the halftime break with the Cobras leading 8-5. Lindsay Ordemann scored two of the first three goals in the second half, along with McCusker totaling four, while Baker and Kent both finished off hat tricks in the contest. Kara Huntsinger and Marabeth Durden each tallied one goal in the win, along with Claudia Jenkins adding two.
Cassie Dodge (5-5) made 12 saves between the pipes in her fifth victory of the season.
The Cobras are back in action Wednesday (April 6) when they travel to Columbia. Opening draw is set for 6:00 p.m.
