
Coker's Season Comes to an End with Loss in SAC Semifinals
The Coker women's lacrosse team fell to the Bears of Lenoir-Rhyne University on Friday (Apr. 17) night.

CHARLOTTE, N.C. – The Coker College women's lacrosse team fell to the Lenoir-Rhyne University Bears 21-5 in the semifinals of the South Atlantic Conference Women's Lacrosse Championship on Friday (Apr. 17) evening.
Senior Millie Rogers would start the game off for the Navy and Yellow with her seventh goal of the season. The All-SAC duo of Claudia Jenkins and Danielle Holcomb would net back-to-back goals to cut the Bears lead to 4-3. Jenkins would net another goal before halftime, however Lenoir-Rhyne would hold an 11-4 lead going into the locker rooms.
Lindsay Ordemann netted a goal in the second half, but the Bears would pull away in the final 30 minutes and take the game by a final score of 21-6.
Claudia Jenkins led the Coker offense with three goals.
The Cobras finish their 2015 campaign with a program-record nine wins.
