HARTSVILLE, S.C. – The Coker women's lacrosse team is set to take on the Royals of Queens University on Wednesday (Mar. 5) at Byerly Park. Live coverage of the game will be available at www.cokercobras.com.
After a convincing 19-11 win over Wingate last Saturday (Mar. 1), the Cobras improved to 2-1 overall. Mackenzie Baker continues to lead Coker with 12 goals on the season, five coming from last Saturday's game. Hayley Ferone leads the team in total points with 16. On the year she has ten goals and six assists. Goalie Mandy Lopez has 33 saves, with a 51.6 save percentage.
In their last game, the Royals fell to Regis University 11-6. They come to Hartsville with a 3-2 overall record. Abigail Paulus and Jena Ready lead Queens in goals, assists, and points. Paulus has 15 goals, five assists, and 20 points on the season, while Ready has 14 goals, four assists, and 18 points. In goal, Danielle Horoschak has 48 saves with a 51.1 save percentage.
The game is set to begin at 1 p.m., followed by the men's game at 3 p.m.
