Coker Set To Open Inaugural Season Against Erskine

The Coker women’s lacrosse team will kick-off their inaugural season this Monday (Feb. 17) against Erskine College at Byerly Park.

HARTSVILLE, S.C. – The Coker women's lacrosse team will kick-off their inaugural season this Monday (Feb. 17) against Erskine College at Byerly Park.

Led by first year head coach Steve Efland, Coker was voted sixth in the South Atlantic Conference preseason poll.  On the field the Cobras will be led by Mackenzie Baker and Hayley Ferone at the attack position, as both players were voted to the preseason all-conference second team.  Heading the defense will be Marabeth Durden, along with Mandy Lopez in goal. 

This will also be Erskine's first game of the 2014 season.  The Flying Fleet are coming off a 6-11 season in Conference Carolinas. 

Game time is set for a 1:00 p.m. start time, followed by the men's game at 3:00.
