
Cobras Finish Tournament In Monroe
Coker takes 15th in the Jerry Surratt Memorial Intercollegiate
MONROE, NC. - Coker finished their tournament in Monroe Tuesday evening after play was suspended Monday. The Cobras finished the tournament 15th.
HOW IT HAPPENED:
Weather was an issue all tournament long as play on Monday was suspended due to rain. The Cobras put together a first round score of +39 with Daniella Gyoni leading the way with a score of +2. The Cobras who were tasked with fighting conditions during the day, also saw Gisle Morna shoot +10.
In round two, Coker shot its lowest score of the tournament at +23. Kelly Chapman paced Coker, shooting even par in the second 18. Morna and Gyoni both shot under +10 as Coker found themselves continuing to compete.
The final round of the tournament the Cobras shot 40 over with Chapman shooting a team best +8 on the round. After round three Coker had put together a team score of +102 and found themselves in 15th place. Wingate won the tournament as a team and won the individual score.
